Everglades Sunset Fire Red Sky

Everglades Sunset – November 21, 2019

Last week, an opportunity presented itself that I could not pass up. With slightly cooler temperatures in the evening, one becomes much more motivated to go outside.

We had almost no breaks at all last year, which made the year long and very tedious. So I jumped at the opportunity to take a walk one day last week and watch the sunset over the Everglades.

Skies were clear and the colors were intense. The sky was on fire!

I even saw a pair of otters while there, but unfortunately was not quick enough to capture them on camera. They are pretty elusive around here.

Some of the bird species spotted were ibis, tricolored heron, green heron, egret, snowy egret, grackle, and anhinga. The pictures I am posting, however, are just of the sunset and a close up of a grackle bathing.
