Virtual Tour (Climb) of the Matterhorn in Zermatt, Switzerland
Come, take a virtual tour… No, better yet, let’s do a virtual CLIMB of the Matterhorn in Switzerland!
What is the Matterhorn and where is it located?
The Matterhorn is a mountain in the Alps, located on the border of Switzerland and Italy. It has a unique and striking pyramid-like peak that is nearly symmetric.
This stunning peak rises from the Earth and stands at 14,642 feet above Zermatt, Switzerland, as if it were reaching for the sky itself. The surrounding area has many lakes and beautiful alpine meadows laced with abundant wildflowers.
It truly is one of Europe’s most well-known and striking landmarks. It is revered by tourists, outdoor enthusiasts and mountain climbers alike.
Enough ado about… well, everything! Let’s get started!
A Bird’s Eye Perspective
So… since I am an avid aviation enthusiast, I decided before we climb this mountain, why not see it from a different perspective… the air?!
Let’s go on a helicopter tour and see the peak from above! Follow me!
Let’s get on board the Eurocopter and take a look at this stunning landscape close-up.
Wow, that was so exciting! And, for me, probably a real highlight of my entire trip here! I personally love everything above and below this middle earth.
Okay… so now that we have that under our belt, let’s get to the serious stuff!
Let’s Climb the Matterhorn!
Let’s climb first and then the highlight will be when we actually are able to navigate the ridge at the top. If you have any GoPro’s or other camera gear, get it ready and hit record now, because the adventure is about to begin!
How about another walk along that epic ridge? Here’s the payoff… that traverse from Lion to Hornli Ridge…
Wow! We did it! And what incredible pictures and video! Have you ever seen anything as epic as this? These will be memories that will last a lifetime, for sure!
Thank you for joining me on another epic adventure...
Thanks for coming along with me for the adventure. Please tune in for more virtual tours coming soon. Hopefully, together we can make sure 2020 a real adventure, doing it safely and as creative as we can, despite what other plans this year might have!
